Grace Moore DDS, MS Dr. Moore is a Mason City native, graduating from Newman Catholic High School. She made the Midwest tour of education (Illinois to Iowa to Nebraska) before landing back home to practice and raise her family.EducationDr. Moore attended Loyola University Chicago as a student athlete, competing in cross country and track and field. She then attended The University of Iowa College of Dentistry where she found a particular interest in surgical dentistry and the connection between oral health and systemic health, through the treatment of periodontal disease. She completed periodontics residency at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska receiving advanced training in periodontics and dental implants. She served as chief resident, graduating with a certificate in periodontics and a masters in oral biology. Dr. Moore is board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology, an accolade held by only approximately 47% of periodontists in the United States. Interests and HobbiesIn her free time, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben, two children, Gus and Edie, and their English cream retriever, Norman. They enjoy being active, particularly with water activities, whether that be on the lake, ocean or indoor and outdoor pools. Dr. Moore loves a challenge and finds herself impulsively signing up for road races and sprint triathlons. Don’t tell her she can’t do something, because she will! Fun fact about her: her only sibling, Will, is a general dentist in Southern Florida, despite having no family influence in the dental field! |
